Moahataiari.—Tho retorting took plact yesterday, the result being 162oJs4dwt melted.gold made up as followslo9oz Udwt gold from 11J tons quarts; and 60 pounds picked stone from the Reuben Parr reef, lloz Udsrt gold from 36 tops froaa Iho Cambria section of the raino and
40oz 16dwt gold from 565 tons of Burface dirt. The mine manager reports :-rThe rite from llio main tunnel has ooen carried up 15ft for the week making the total height 65ft. Daring tbe week another
leader war passed through ; it is from a foot to fifteen inches io thickness but contains u good' deal of white quartz, which carries very little mineral. A considerable quantify of water is draining through is. Pbinoi ImpbriaLi—The mino manager reports:—The leading stope.on No. 2 leador at No. 3 level is in forty feet; the country is looking a litllo bettor but does Hot sheet very well. Owing to tho number of open heads throagh the ground, tho leader iB looking a good deal better; when breaking down the quarts on Thursday wo saw a good many dabs of gold through the dirt and got one pound of good picked stone. .
Sazon.—The shaft has now been cleaned out and repaired for 72ft, and the manager is of opinion that about 13ft still romafa to be drained, The break has been out; in the drainage driro, retailing in a mnoh increased flow of water.
Lone. Hand.—Graahiug is prooeodiag with nineteen stampers at Ball's battery, the other four.stampers being employed teaporarily on smail parcols. May QosRH.-The. No. 1 leader having dosoribed the arc of a circle lias holed through to the. western dtivo on No- i reef, near the main crossout. 1
