Melbourne, Thursday. ,■ Further particulars .published to«day legarding tho Simpson Koad Bank robbery show that tho affair was skilfully
planned and carried into execution. The robbers effected an entrance into
the building through a window,'aud' awaited thearrival of the manager and assistant inside the bank. The attack was so sudden that resistance was impossible on the part of the victims, who were gagged and bound hand' nnd under, the were eventually 1 discovered. Later. A reward of £550 has been offered by the National! Bank' of Australasia for auoh information as will lead to the, arrest and conviction of the men', who assaulted and robbed the officials of Simpson's Road Branch. , ■
The police, are actively prosecuting their investigation into Simpson's Road; Bank robbery, but up to the present they have -ibeen unsuccessful in their endeavours to obtain any clue. ■ '
