COSTUME CRICKET MATCH.

The opening of the waj celebrated od Saturday by a match played iu fancy costume, between teams choson from the married and. singlo members of tho Thames Cricket Club. Mr W. H. Airey looked well as a Waterman, and Mr. Guff was admirably suited with'the airy uniform of the 93rd Highlanders,• Mr- 11. T. Rowe looked roverent as Aminadab Sleek, and Messrs Spencer, Cloonan, and Law, being evidently of opinion that" Beauty unadorned is adornod the most, 1 " appeared in ordinary walking (garments. Mr H. W. Ferguson and Mr W. Tr'egonning fraternised as Mahommedans; Mr Hennelly, Huntsman; Mr BurgcßS } Rustic; Messrs Turner and Weston, Sailors; Messrs Rhodes and J.
