FIRE IN THE HAPE GREEK.

About 3 o'clock this morning, the Grahanistown watohman (Mr Carfcwright) rang out an alarm of fire, which appeared to be in the neighbourhood of the Hape Creek. The Grabamstown and Shortlaud Fire Brigades were quickly on the alert, and were soon on the scene of the conflagration, which was found to be a four-roomed cottage in the occupation of a.Mr Adams, near the Hape Greek battery. Doubts are entertained as to the safety of the occupier, who was seen returning home at 1.30 this morning, and at the time of the fire could not be found.
