MINING MATTERS.
Golden Cam.—The lode in the faco of the drive seemed somewhat disturbed yesterday morning, but during the day it seemed to be making again, Colours of gold aro frequently seen in tho quartz coming from both the drive and stopes, and there is now on hand between 50 ana 60 loads of quartz awaiting treatment. Tho sinking of the winzo is still being continuod, with tho lode looking as usual, but this work will soon have to be suspended, on account of the water, which must bo pretty near up to tho bottom of the winze. Crushing operations cannot be carried on as yet, on account of the damage done to tho water raco by a land slip above Warmoll's property, It is rumoured that it will take a week to repair the damage done,
Amubnia.— The lode in Dixon's lower level seems to be improving in appearance as it is driven on, but no gold has been seen in the quartz as yet, although the indications aro favourable, There is no change to mentioa from any of the other workings. A considerable quantity of quartz is being accumulated during the stoppage of the battery. The tributes, Goard and party, crushed right loads of quartz for tho yield of 17ozs gold.
