The Mayor of Cooktown has given a banquet in honor of Favene's exploring party. Brisbane, April 3. Favens' exploring party have arrived at Cooktown. Sydney, Wednesday. Rush, who is backed against Laycock for the forthcoming champion boat race, did a splendid trial to-day. Thursday. The' Oacero/ barque, from London, sighted off the coast a large ship, which was burnt to a shell. Two schooners were seen alongside. The ship is apparently iron. The affair is a complete mystery. An inquiry is being made as to the identity of the vessel.
