CRICKET.
Ok, Saturday] a very good match took place:between Shortland and Grahamsitown, resulsing.in favor of the former by 20 runs, mainly owing to the good batting !of F. ,W. Paul , : and J.- JB., Macdonald. I'Stee'dman, Eeece, and the twoKallend'er's' helped their respective sides by .putting on some runs. The fielding of Grahams,-, town, with one or two, exceptions,, was ;very indifferent,: Wliitford showed fie'ldr ;ing powers that have hitherto been latent; .Eeece, Masters, Gellion, Hill, and Hargraves were also for backing |up and being in their, places. Very'bad judgment was shown in running, five men were run out of twelve. Scores.— ■■
