AMNESTY TO FENUN PRISONERS.

London] May 22.—1n the House of ..Com. nions to-day, Mr Disraeli.in reply to a question of Maurice Brooks,' Liberal Home Kule member for Dublin, as to whether he intended.to advise the Queen to extend, mercy to persons ,- : imprisoned for breach. <of allegiance; to her, Majesty, stated that only fifteen persons remained in custody within the category of Mr Brooks' question. After a lengthy explanation, showing that two of these.were convicted of murder, and that six are now in English prisons, and the remainder in West Australia under military surveillance merely, Mr Disraeli sliid, considering the circumstances, he could not now recommend amnesty. Mr John O'Connor Powers,, who is also a Liberal, and Homo , Kule member, under motion to adjourn, strongly protested against the Government's course.. Mr Gcorgo Anderson, Libonil for. Glasgow, and • Mr. Disraeli spoke in reply, upholding the action of tho Ministry, and, declaring that England's, honour was at stake. After further observations by Charles 3.
