WARDEN'S COURT—Yestkbday

(Before W. Eraser, Esq,, Warden,) Eiohabd Owens v. Robert Thompson and Robert Barclay.—The plaint ia this case was that tho defendants were registered owners of the Perseverance Claim, Collarbone Spur, and had failed to bona fide and continuously work it. Plaintiff olaimed the authority of tho Warden to take possession of the claim. —Defendant did not appear,—Plaintiff was examined. He proved that tho claim had not been worked for a considerable time.—Mr McKenzie,. mining registrar, proved that the defendants were registered owners of the Perseverance Claim.—The Court declared the claim forfeited, and gave an order to plaintiff to take possession. ■ '

Residence Site Rents.—There were plaints laid against William Davies, Thomas Clark, and Alexander Hanlan, by the Mining Inspector for neglecting to pay the sum of £1 in. advance, the rent of their residence sites. They were settled out of Court. —The Warden said that the defendants had paid ( the rent and considerable costs. The Mining Inspector had brought the cases on as a warning to others, and. unless tho rents were promptly paid it would be necessary to bring up 70 or 80 others.
