APPLICATION has been made by John Caldbr for owners of the Hercules Claim for License to construct a Water Race for mining purposes, commencing at a point on the first main creek eastward of McKay's Agricultural Lease, and terminating at a point on the Hercules Claim, receiving in . its course all water from intervening creeks, as shown on plan. The length of such Race is half a-mile or thereabouts, and its intended coarse is westerly. The mean breadth and depth of such Race is two feet by eighteen inches. It is capable of carrying four sluice-heads of water, and the number of sluice-heads it is intended to Appropriate is four. NOTICE is therefore given that on the 7th day of April, 1876, a License will be granted to the above-named John Calder for the Hercules Claim for the said Water Eace, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing, and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date.
