GRAHAMSTOWN WESLEYAN CHURCH.
To the Editor of the THAMES ADVERTISER. Sib,—On reading the report of the above church in yours of yesterday, I was struck by the meagre information given. The receipts are represented as amounting to £106 2s sd, including £34 12s for seat rents and.£s3 17s 5d for Sabbath collections. In justice to the congregation and to the community, a full report of the work done by tho church during tho year shall be given. If the congregation numbers only those represented by £34 12s, seat rents, which would be 86, and the collections average only £10s 6d each Sabbath, which is aa average of ljd each collection, in such a case that church must be considered a failure. Personally j I know such is not the case, but that docs not lessen my desire to see tho correct statement placed before the public, and not compel them to form conclusions similar to the above, which they must do from the present information they possess.—Yours, &c, AWesleyan. October 22nd,
