RICE, For the Provincial Secretary, Claufo 17 [Rent to k paid in mtiantc), to bo read as follows:—''The rent per acre to be reserved upon' every lease shall be at the annual rate of one shilling for the first seven years, one'shilling and sixpence for the Becond seven years, and: two shillings for the last seyea years; apd all rtfnts or moneys payable under or in : respect of any lease shall be due and paid annually in advance fro the Receiver ; pf Gold Revenue on the first day of January in edch year of the. term of lease. Provided always that one year's full rent shall be paid at the time of issue on all leases issued prior to the thirtieth day of June in any one year, and one rent shall be paid on leases issued subsequent to the thirtieth da; of June in any year." .
