Webster’s Auckland agents report the following Stock Exchange quotations and sales. — Waihi 31s and 29s 3d, Junction 10s and 9s 3d, Talisman 5s 9d and 4s 6d, Bank of New Zealand £24 and £23.105, National Bank £6 Is Gel (seller). Union Bank £l2 8s (seller). New Zealand insurance 27s 3d and 26s 6d, South British Insurance £8 2s 6d and £i los, Standard Insurance 42s (buyer); Huddart. CHRIST CHURCH; Dec. S. At ‘the Addington market to-day there were increased entries of all kinds of stock. The over-supply caused an easing in both sheep and cattle, and store sheep wore also affected by the wool position. . . Store Sheep.—There .was. a bigger yarding than • usual, including some Chatham Island sheep. Practically tho whole yarding were out of the wool. The demand was weak except for forward adult wethers, nad a considerable section were passed. Forward 4 and 6-tooth wethers 2Ss 9d to 31s Cd, fairly good 4 and 6-tooth wethers 20s to 28s, inferior 4 and 6-tooth wethers 24s to 25s 6d, fair 2-tooth wethers 23s 7d to 21s. cull and inferior 2-tnoth wethers 17s 2d to 22s 9d, 4 and 6-tqoth half-bred woolly wethers 33s 3d, good 2-tooth ewes 36s 2d, inferior 2-tooth owes 20s 6d to 24s 6d, ordinary 4Hooth dry owes 26s Id, sound and failing mouth dry ewes 17s to 19s. Fat lambs—67s were yarded. Prices receded to tho figure prevailing a fortnight ago. Extra prime lambs 34s to 40s 6d, prime lambs 29s 6d to 335, medium lambs 26s to 295, light and inferior lambs 22s 4d to 255. Fat Sheep.—Vendors met a weaker market, and prime wether mutton sold at only a slight reduction on tho last sale. Aledium quality and ewe mutton wore down by several shillings a head to fully freezing rates, and tho passings were numerous. Extra prime wethers 465, prime wethers 34s 6d to 40s, medium wethers 29s 9d to 33s 9d, light and unfinished 26s to 29s 3d, extra prime owes 41s, prime owes 28s 6d to 33s 6d, medium ewes 24s 6d to 28s, light and unfinished ewes 19s to 28s 6d. Fat Cattle.—324 were yarded, an over-supply. Big beef was not so much in demand, and a good deal was passed. Values were down by about 40s to 45s a head, the cost averaging about £2 7s 6d per 1001 b. Prime steers £2l: to £25 2s 6d, medium steers £l6 to £2O 10s, light and unfinished steers £9 10s to £ls 10s, extra prime cows £2l 10s, prime cows £l4 10s to £lB, ordinary cows £ll to £l4, light and unfinished cows £9 to £lO 15s, extra prime heifers £l4 15s to £ls 15s, medium heifers £ll to £l3, light and unfinished heifers £8 to £lO. Dairy Cattle.—There was a poorer demand with the advance of the season. Good first calvors £ll to £2l, third and fourth culvers £l6 to £l9 los, inferior cows £4 10s to £9. Store Cattle.—A considerable yarding, and an indifferent demand. Threeyear steers £lO os. 2-ycar steers £4 10s. heifers £8 2s 6d, yearling heifers £3 Is 6d, cows £6 to £ls 10s, bulls £3 los to £C 10s. Vealers.—Good vealors wore in request, and for others there was a moderate demand. Runners £8 los, good vealers £7 2s 6d, medium vealers £1 15s. inferior calves 10s to £2 2s. Fat Pigs.—A big penning and a fast sale. Choppers £5 10s to £5 17s 6d, light haconcrs £5 10s to £5 17s 6d, heavy baconers £6 to £6 15s, extra heavy baconers £7 to £7 12s (average price per lb. lOd), light'porkers £3 14s, £4, heavy porkers £4 10s to £5 (average price per lb. 11l to 12d). Store Pigs.—An easier sale, the big prices of some weeks ago not prevailing. Aledium stores £3 10s to £3 16s, small stores £1 18s to £2 10s, weanors 12s to £1 16s, sows (poor sorts) £4 10s to £5.
