DEPRIVED OF CIVIL RIGHTS. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Deo. 8. At the iPolico Court, James Lee was fined £3 and deprived of civil rights for five years for failing to attend drill. Tho defence authorities stated defendant had been fined several times, and was a systematic shirker. The police.gave evidence that defendant stated he considered he should be able to do as he liked in a free country.
