TARANAKI LAND BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING. Tho monthly mooting of the Taranaki Land Hoard was held on Wednesday. Present: Messrs. G. H. Bullard (chairman), J. Heslop, N. 11. Cieland and J. W. H. Martin. An apology for absence was received from Sir. C. J. Ryan. Tho following applications for land were approved:—Section 8, block X., Aria, B. A. C. Higgle; section 9, block 11., Taurakawa, A. March and A. Mutrio; section SO, block.ll., Opunako, G. Thomas; section '23, block IV., Totoro, G. Laurenson; section 9, block IV., Mapara, T. A. Garratt; section 6, block 111., Mapara, T. A. Garratt; section 35, block XL, Ngairo, C. J. Belcher; section 5, block IV., Mapara, C. A. Miller. The following transfers were approved Section 574, Town of New Plymouth, A. J. Gibbons to Henry Petersen; section 5, block VIII., Huiroa, G. Barrock and B, Men to S. J. Batly; part section 22 block XII., Mapara, W. A. Coombridge to C. W. Watts; subdivisions 3 and 4 of section 42, Patea suburbs, J. A. M'Konna to J. W. Burke; section 29, Hua and Waiwakaiho district, S. 6. Williams to C. Weston; section 3, block VII., Aria, S. Hunter and M, M'Fadyon to S. Hunter and A. M. Riddell. Tho transfer of sections 17 and 21, Ngatikahnmate block, from B. F. Bowman to C. F. Griffiths, was deferred for further particulars. The transfer of section 1, block 111., Tangitn, from G. C. AVelab to C. Cave, was recommended for the Minister's approval. The plans and specifications of building proposed to be erected by C. C. Gilbert on section 578, Town of New Plymouth, wore approved. It was resolved to recommend that sections 1 and 9, block XIV., Aria, be declared a special reading distHct under section 50 of tho Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913. i The subdivision of section 3, block HI,, Mapara, held by F. O’Keefe and Margaret M. Pulman, was approved. A renewable lease was granted to A. J, Baker over an area of seven acres fronting his section 13, block VII., Waro. The arbitrator’s report on E.R. section 4, block XI., Ngaire, held by Hannah Knoebone, was received. Hie ranger’s report on improvements on section 40, block VI., Ngaire, was received. Sections ss, 6s, 8s and 11s, and 10s, Tawbiwlii Settlement, arc to be reoffered for general selection at prices and conditions to be fixed. Hie application by L. B.'Webster to subdivide bis lease of sections 325 301, 326, and 327, Town of New Plymouth, uts approved at the lentnls fixed. Proposals for the expenditure of thirds by the Wbauframomona County Council were approved.
