Last July the Government decided to extend tho guarantee of Id per lb. on apples of approved varieties exported from New Zealand up to 100,000 cases; As there seems to be considerable ground for anticipating that if the market conditions in tho United Kingdom remain favourable the export af apples will exceed 100,000 cases, Caei- . net has agreed to extend tho guarantee to cover 200,000 cases, on condition - that the Government reserves its right to restrict tho guarantee to a lesser quantity,' after giving reasonable notice, if it is satisfied later on that the market conditions ,at the other end do not warrant exporting as much as 200,000 cases.
