COST OF REMOVAL.
•j * ORGANISER SUES' P.P.A. Per'Press Association. WELLINGTON, Nov. 17. Ernest A. Evans, of Wellington, lata secretary of the P.P.A.. Christchurch, sued l the association for,£2s, the cost or moving his family and furniture from Wellington to Christchurch, The plain, tiff’s evidence was that he was engaged as organiser for Christchurch in January, 1910, but resigned in the following October because the association wan unable to pa? him. A special canvass-was made,/but the bulk of tire money went to Wellington. In a letter mitten by the Rev. Howard Elliott to the Christchurch executive there was a footnote recommending the Christchurch division to pay his removal expenses. The Rev. Mr. Elliott, for the defence, said that there was no arrangement to pay removal /expenses. Tire question was never raised. 'Evans was anxious to go to Christchurch. He could not recollect writing the footnote. The case was adjourned for the production of the letter.
