UNHAPPY CHINA.
NORTH AND SOUTH APART. .. JAPANESE INFLUENCE, By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. i (Received Sept. 13, 9.20 a.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 12. The Shanghai, correspondent of the New York Sun interviewed the former President, Sun Yat Son, who stated that the condition of China, to-day as the result of the recent fighting around Peking is worse than at any time in her recent history. Northern China is now absolutely in the hands of Japanese reactionaries. Peace between the north and the south is now indefinitely postponed, unless the south is prepared to surrender unconditionally to Japan. Tho future only holds more confusion, chaos and complications, with the ascendency of Japan over China more pronounced. There can ho no peace m China until a new revolution clears out the reactionaries again.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ,
