MR. F. W. CORNWALL'S SALE. I HE POPULARITY OF THE JERSEY There was a record attendance at the sale of Mr. F. AV. Cornwall's pedigree Jersey cow-s, which was conducted by Mr. Newton King at the farm on Friday. Buyers were present irom all parts of tlie Nortn Island, and South Island breeders were also well represented. Excellent arrangements iuv ; been made for the'sale, which was conducted in a largo marquee provided with seating accommodation for several Hundred people. Tne cattle were in splendid condition and very satisfactory prices were realised, the average for the female stock being about 101 guineas, whilst the total amount realised for tho complete catalogue was over £IOOO. Rosalind's Girl, a beautiful type of cow by Belvedere Scotchman from Ayosha’s .Rosalind realised top price, 367 guineas, a record, whilst a K.C.B, cow. Belle Mnhonc was knocked down for 275 guineas. Kotiro, u granddaughter of KfC.il., also realised over the 201) mark, and seven others ranged from 100 guineas to 175 guineas. . Mr. K. F. Kirk wielded the hammer right through and is to be heartily congratulated on the manner in which he handled the sale. Following aro tho details;— COWS.
