OFFICERS’ ASSOCIATION. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 11. The Post and Telegraph Officers’ Association Conference sat in committee to-day to consider the association’s rules, which were subsequently confirmed in open conference. Briefly put, they altered the constitution of the executive committee to consist of the president, general treasurer, and eight delegates (four from each Island), to be elected byw the conference ; vice-presidents, two to be elected from the four delegates, and on other occasions where necessary Provision was made for intervals also in the case of death or resignations. After next year the conference need only bo called together at least once in every two years. The scope of the distress fund was widened to include payment to estates of unmarried officers, and the allocation from the general fund was increased. The constitution was altered to allow of a referendum on questions of importance. The conference agreed .to confer with the three railway societies, tile Public Service Association, and the Educational Institute on matters of common interest.
