Tho interment of _Sir Starr Jaraoson’s remains alongside those of Mr. Cecil Rhodes on the Matoppo Hills was most striking and impressive. The coffin lay all night in the open, in the glow of a camp fire, guarded by a single sentry. The procession up the mountain was preceded by the clergy and choir. There was a picturesque ceremony and a great gathering at the graveside, including 100 chiefs and headsmen. General Smuts paid a tribute to Sir Starr Jameson’s great services to South Africa ns one of tho founders of the Union. —United Service.
