TAXATION OF WAR WEALTH
SUGGESTIONS APPROVED:, By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received April 28, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, April 27. The Taxation of AVar Fortunes Committee has practically agreed on a scheme embodying a scale of abatement in respect of pie-war wealth. If under £2s,o<>y the abatement will be 65 per cent: if between £200,000 and £500,000 31 per cent. The diminished value of money will be taken into account in drawing tip the final scheme. It is estimated that 500 millions will be forthcoming from 76,000 taxpayers.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
