REFEREES FOR SATURDAY. Tho weekly meeting of the Northern Committee of the Taranaki Rugby Referees’ Association was held on Monday night. Mr.' J. O’Grady was admitted to active .membership. .... Appointments for the opening matches of tho competition on Saturday were made as follows, appointments for fourth grade matches being omitted owing to tho number of referees being insufficient ;
Senior.—Okato v. Rahotu (at Okato), W. Roch; Star v. Clifton (at New Plymonth), B. Petty- United v. Old Boys (Show Grounds), J. Johnson.
Second Grade.—Star v. Rahotu (at Rahotu), A. Walls; United v. Old Boys (Old Boys match), D. Johnson. Third Grade.—High School A v. Old Boys (School match), W. Kupe; High School B v. Tukapa. (Tukapa match), 0. West"; .Clifton v. Lcpperton (at Waitara), D. George.
