Make a brine of water and salt* pour this over' vegetables and let stand for 24 hours ; place colander and drain; pack loosely into dry bottles. Place contents of tin of “ K ’* “MUSTO** in earthenware basin, and mix with little vinegar into smooth paste: add remainder of vinegar, and bring to boil in saucepan.
