Christiania correspondent'of The Times states that Captain Nansen suggests that Captain Amundsen is returning in order to renew his scanty store of provisions, and will possibly restart for the Pole from Barrow. It is unlikely his drift from there will be completed under five years. VANCOUVER, April 23.
A wireless message from Anadir, Siberia, announces that Captain Amtindsen has arrived there. It was reported fiom Christiania on March 26 that Captain Amundsen was making a dash for the Polo, and had left thp ship Maude for the dash across tho Polar icefields.
The Maude’s equipment included two aeroplanes, which Captain Amundsen proposed using if practicable.' Reports from the Maude, however, indiacto that she might bo expected at that portion ot the Siberian coast to winch Anadir is the nearest civilised outpost.—Router Service.
