PRICE OF FLOUR.
AN ERROR CORRECTED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, ApiTT 23. Some weeks ago there was published in tiie Gazette a notice regarding the price of Hour wlucii was not easily intelligible, it appeared that the i.o.h. price was to bo £ 1(3 KJs at southern ports, and that in other parts of tuo country the price was to ho this rate of £lO 10s pins other charges incurred in bringing the flour to tne place oi the ultimate sale to the bread maker. Rut in this notice there was mention of a rato of £lB per ton ior hour for certain places, 'inis quote of £lB per ton is cancelled. The rate is now fixed at £l(3 10s per ton, and in the case of the i)orta distant from tlio wheat ports of tho South Island tjio rate is to be £l6 10s with the addition of the costs of bringing the flour to those places. A member of tho Board of Trade, when asked for an explanation of the jroint, said that the first notice hud boon published in error, and that tho notice of this week’s Gazette was merely a correction of the error previously made.
