ASIATIC IMMIGRANTS.

GOVERNMENT TAKING ACTION. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 23. The influx of Asiatics into tho Dominion. and the uneasiness occasioned thereby have not escaped the attention of the Government. Mr. Massey stated to-day that tho difficulty in dealing with the matter was; accounted for by Indians, to whoso arrival exception is being taken, being British subjects. Tho matter has been referred to the Crown Law Officers to ascertain whether there is sufficient power at present vested in tho Government to chock this immigration. If .tho powers now existing prove insufficient, then Parliament will be asked to deal with tho matter as early as possible in the session which commences in June.
