The Corespondent of the Evening Standard in Berlin reports that Herr von Gwinner, the German financial expert, estimates that the worthless paper money circulating in Germany averages £4O sterling per capita. He declared, “The whole of Europe is financially wounded. Unless the world comes to its senses, buries its hate, and builds of sympathy and mercy, I believe that the entire white race will march to ruin. “The real Hun is the Bolshevik Hun, who is knocking at Germany’s eastern frontier, and will conquer unless our hopeless people are helped.”
