GRANTS BY GOVERNMENT. ■ Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Feb.' 24. The Prime Minister pave a reporter information regarding advances to local bodies under the Government’s bousing scheme. He said l that the applications and inquiries received from local bodies had represented a total sura of £4OS,(XX), and applications that had been entertained by the Government totalled £75,000, the maximum loan in any single ease being £IO,OOO.
