Deschanel sent g message to Parliament stating that tho first guarantee of peace was to strengthen the unity of the peoples who fought for the right. It was this basis whereupon the League of Nations was established. Franca was seeking to live in security, and desired that Germany be compelled to obey the Treaty and that the aggressor shall not snatch from Franco the fruits of her heroic sacrifices. M. Deschanel 1 will meet the King of Spain at Bordeaux on March 1. He will discuss the Morocco question.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. INSTALLATION CEREMONY, PARIS, Feb. 18. There was an impressive ceremony at tht) Elyseo Palace when M. Deschanel was -installed as President. A salute -of twenty-ono guns was fired. 51. Poincare, welcoming M. Deschanel, said: “Yon have to pursue unremittingly the execution of tho Peace Treaty, which Germany is only too ready to ovade.
