The aviators departed without official leave, because they were tired of waiting, and personally accept all responsibility for their act. Lieut. Parer states the sole obj’ect is to try to make Australia with a single engine under Sir Ross Smith’s time, and he expects to reach Darwin in 21 days.—United Service.
