A return to practically normal in the butchery trade followed this morning on the decision of the strikers on Saturday to call the strike off. Graziers, who have boon eompellea during the strike to hold their fat stock through a suspension of the Westfield fat stock sales, will welcome the return to normal conditions on Wednesday. BOOKMAKER FINED. AUCKLAND. Dec. 8. On a charge of bookmaking at the Takapuna races, George Hogwood was to-day fined £4O and costs.
