TARANAKI JOCKEY CLUB.

The committee of the Taranaki Jockey Club met on Tuesday night. Present: Messrs. L. A. Nolan (in The chair), W. C. Weston, G. Fraser, L. B. Webster, J. M'Leod, O. AY. Sole, A. R, Standish, and B. H. Chaney. A number of matters in connection with the Christmas meeting wore reported as completed. The Citizens’ Band was engaged for the season on tho same terms as last year. Tho time for starting tho first race was fixed for 12 noon. . It was decided that the subscriptions of all members of the club who 'have beeu ou active service should be regarded as covered for the present season. Permission was, granted to the New Plymouth Technical College to put down a basket ball and a cricket pilch on tho racecourse. Accounts amounting to £33 Is 3a ■were passed for payment.
