Mr. George Tickner, some years ago a well-known resident of New Plymouth, died at Auckland a week ago. Mr. Meplian Ferguson, of Victoria, who became famous as the maker of rivetted iron pipes for carrying water, died'at Melbourne a few days ago. A cable from Vancouver says that Admiral Jellicoe, on board H.M.S. New Zealand, arrived at Victoria (British Columbia) on Saturday afternoon. The Prime Minister arrived at Te Kuiti on Monday night from Auckland and on Tuesday morning ho informally met the prominent supporters of the Reform Party. Mr. Massey subsequently went to Rotorua.—(Press Association.
