The Union Company advise that the, Kuhika’s departure from' Wellington is timed for 10 o’clock -to-night, and she is duo here to-morrow night. An -Ashburton telegram says that, following two days’ _ sultry nor’-west-ers, heavy rain set in hero on Saturday evening and is still raining. Towards Methven and tho ranges it snowed all day yesterday. The rain this morning is causing a thaw, and it is feared the loss of lambs will bo heavy.
