ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

A MAN DROWNED. Per Press Association. GORE, Sept. 20. William Cordy, about 40 years of age. unmarried, was drowned yesterday in the Waikaia River. He was driving a team of two horses across the river, which was in fresh. Both horses were drowned. The dray and horses were recovered this morning but there wero no signs of the man’s body. Deceased had been employed at Glenaray Station for seven years.
