CAPTURED MEN RETURN. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, August 23. By the new steamer Wairuna arrived from San Francisco Captain Saunders, Chief Engineer ADCaughcy, and 12 members of the crew of the vessel formerly bearing the name of Wairuna. • which was sunk by tho raider Wolfo on June 2, 1917. , After 14 days in Germany they wore sent in squads to work repairing railway lines. Their food consistcd°mostly of dried swede, turnips, one small loaf every three days, and a mixture called soup. They were allowed sixpence a day to buy tobacco, etc.
