GERMANY
GENERAL VON BEENHARDI, SPEAtS QUITE CANDIDLY 1 . By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received August 7, 9.5 a.m.) NEW YORK. August 2. The Berlin correspondent of the New York World interviewed General von Bernhardi, who prophesied another war, and said he considered it right for England and France to inflict tho most severe penalty on Germany, because this was the only way they could insure themselves against the Teuton peril. He said Germany might not keep her obligations, thus making another war necessary. He said the Kaiser should not be blamed for the war, he should be blamed only for not declaring war sooner - . General von Bernhardi does not think that the League of Nations will end wars, because the interests of tho States always outweigh ideals. He says the German nation will again rise, and the more hate and revenge manifested towards Germany now the sooner and more violent will be the reaction.—AusN.Z. Cable Assn.
