Sutton and Sims had charge of the card tables, and Mr. Rogers was chief steward. At 10 p.m. tin- Al.t . gave the dancers a sprll while, Mr. A. 1,1. Davis, the chairman of the sehood committee, on behalf of the residents of the district extended a hearty welcome homo to our returned soldiers, 'flic next speaker was Mr. S. 0. Smith. A1.1’., who spoke at. length with regard to the service our hoys hud rendered to the Kmpiro, concluding with a very u arm welcome home to onr guests. Incut. Allen suitably responded on behalf of the returned soldiers. During the evening songs were given by Messrs. Deo and Arthur Gilbert, and Alt’. A. 11. Davis. Tito music for the evening was supplied bv Misses Warn. Hair, Alien, and Gilbert; Airs. A. 11. Davis; and Mr. Fred lionlton. Junr. The ladies of the district supplied the supper which was of no mean order. two o'clock saw everybody making their wav home <jinto satisfied that they had had a icaifv good time.
