DROWNING AT PUNGAREHU

BODY OF MAORI DISCOVERED. Constable O’Neill, of Rahotn, lias advised Sub-Inspector Hutton, officer in f charge of police at Now Plymouth, that yesterday ho recovered the* body of Tairaia Harwood, a Native, aged 22, from the Karoaiaia stream, Pungarehu. The deceased man had been last seen ; alive on Sunday afternoon in that vicinity. A coat, hat and whisky flask were found on the bank. The Maori had been in bad health and apparently suffered from delusions recently. L Tho matter was reported to the coroner (Mr. W. B. M'Kean, S.M.), and he directed that an inquest should bo held before local Justices.
