It was resolved Unit the Stratford Club he asked to take steps to keep its line clear during matches. Considerable discussion look place over Hie protest by the Tukapa Club ( over Stratford being awarded a win j in tin 1 StraifortT-Tukapa- match owing j to Stratford having played the Carlson brothers (21, who had played five matches for the Eltham Club and had not been transferred, 'idle evidence went to show that, fho Carlsons at the time had undoubtedly been domiciled the necessary 1 1 days in the Stratford district, having gone to reside, on dune 30, on a farm which they had purchased within the Stratford -boundary. Stratford Club had not obtained a transfer, though they had gone to the secretary of the union and had been .given permission by him to play (lie men. It was shown, however, that the men were not financial at the lime with the Eltham Chib, and were not entitled to obtain their clearance until their subscriptions had been paid. It was resolved, on the motion of Messrs. Garcia and Lets, that the match be ordered to be replayed. An amendment by Messrs Fearon and llarknesa, that the protest be dismissed, was lost.
The reinstatement of J. Julian (Inglewood) to second junior, and of G. Hart (T'ukapa), from first to second junior, was approved. The transfer of R, Oliver (Technical College junior) to Tukapa seniors was approved. It was resolved to vote £5 out of the £l4 received from the New Zealand Rugby Union for the encouragement of seboo 1 football, to bo allocated by Messrs. Lynll and Ryder (the representatives on the union of the southern and divisions). The balance will be kept in hand pending developments in the central area.
It was resolved, on the motion of Messrs. Masters and Fearon. to advise the Auckland Rughy Union that Taranaki will only play under fhe rules ns passed at the annual meeting of the Now Zealand Union, and to express the hope that Auckland would ho able to reconsider their decision. Mr. Masters and the secretary wore authorised to arrange a match with the Wairoa Sub-Union, to ho played at Stratford on August I*l. or Patea on August TO. Mr. A. Lees was appointed manager of the Taranaki team to visit Auckland on August 23. Mr. Fearon reported that the Kaponga Club had donated the gate of tlie Kanonga-Waimate match "(about £4) to the union. The club was thanked for its action.
