Correspondents with Dcnikcn’s armies state that a period of inactivity is essential for reorganisation. They remain optimistic, hut state that it is the cruellest typo of warfare, accompanied by terrible atrocities. The Bolshevists lit inflammable oil in the ears of their victims, hammered nails into the soles of their feet, and put swarms of auts in open wounds. Such are amongst their misdeeds in South Russia, whore many women and girls have been shot for defending their honour. —United Service.
