A VESSEL HELD UP. Per Press Association. GREYMOUTH, July 31. Local watersiders refused to work the Joan. Craig, a vessel carrying a nonunion crew, and the vessel is now being discharged by the crew. BAD WEATHER AT NAPIER. NAPIER, July 31. The weather continues very stormy. A heavy gale and rain commenced last night and continued to-day. The Arahura, from Gisborne and Auckland, was unable to berth at the breakwater and passengers were not landed. The Tara wera is also in the roadstead. The Tangaroa left for Wairoa last night, but returned to Napier after a couple of hours, having received a severe buffeting in the bay.'* The rivers are in high flood; and are still rising rapidly. ARRIVED. Newcastle, July 31.—Whangape, from New Zealand. SAILED. Wellington, July 81. —Paloona (12.20 p.m.), for Suva. . ~ , Sydney, July 31—lima, for Auckland.
