ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.

OF FOOLISH DOCTOR. ’Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 30. George Stivata Aspinall, doctor abroad tho ITinzessin, who pleaded guilty last week to attempted suicide on the steamer, was before the court this morning. Counsel for defendant said he had been in ill-health, and when Alias Bates got access to his cabin and took the drug he was greatly upset, and also took the drug. Aspinall, in addition to service on the warship Diamond, had seen considerable service in Gallipoli and Egypt, and the hardships ho had undergone had a had effect on his health. Tho magistrate ordered defendant to como up for sentence when called upon.
