Ten thousand wav workers attended a garden party .at the invitation of the King and Queen and provided the liveliest spectacle in the history of Buckingham Palace. The crowd, which mingled with society people, included ex-munitioners, aproned nurses, waitresses, policemen, Salvationist girls, and municipal dignitaries. Some of the workers were provided with new toppers and tail-coats and the women were in the latest fasßkms.
