DEFENCE NOTICES* SAMOAN RELIEF FORCES. THE services of 80 men (including two farriers and one butcher) are required for duty in Samoa. Only applications from men between the aged of 25 and 35 years, and who are good horsemen, will be considered. Approved candidates will be required to undergo medical examination and must be “fit” for general service. Pay and allowances will be at N.Z.E.P. rated (Foreign Service Branch); miniumum period of service, six months; preference in all cases being given to returned soldiers. Applications giving full particulars of age, war service, etc., and addressed to Headquarters, N.Z. Military - Forces, P.O. Box 1201, Wellington, will he received up to noon on FRIDAY, the 20th day of June, 1919. Successful applicants must be prepared to leave for* Samoa at an early date. C. E.
