On Monday, Juno 9, we held a clearing sale on account of Mr. E. Haine, Leppexton, when wo report having had a most successful sale. Dairy cows (beet sorts) £l6 to £l9 10s, others £l2 to £ls, sheep 17s, gelding £l4. On Wednesday, June 11, at our usual fortnightly Inglewood sale, there was a full yarding of sheep and cattle. STOCK SALES. The Wairarapa Fanners’ Co-oper-ative Association, Ltd., report having held their weekly sale at Carterton on June 13. The whole of the yarding was disposed of under the hammer at the following prices: Springing dairy heifers £9, £9 10s, £lO, £ll, £ll 7s 6d, £ll 17s 6d, £l2 ss, £l2 17s 6d; dairy cows, due August and September, £9, £9 12s 6d, £lO, £lO 12s fld, £lO 15s. £ll, £l2, £lB, to £l4; store cows £4 10s, £5, £5 10s, £6 2s od, £7, £l7 15s; light fat cows, £8 10s to.£9 2s; bulls, £4 2s 6d to £6. gomes: Mare and foal £3 10s; aughta, £lO, £ll, £lB to £l9; express horses. £lO to £l4 12s 6d. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd. I report: —At our Feilding sale, held On June 13, all sheep, with the exception of three pens, changed hands at Prices in advance of previous sales. The Bulk of the yarding of cattle was heifers in calf, which failed to reach the Vendors’ reserves. We quote: —Fat owes 23s 6d to 27s 7d; fat lambs 18s 6d to 22s 6d; ewes in lamb 20s lOd, 7d, to S2s; empty ewes, 17s 3d to 10s 3d; 4 and 6-tooth wethers. 26s 6d to 27s 6d; good, woolly lamos, 20s, 90s lOd, to 2os; shorn lambs 15s. 16s Sd, 17s 2d, to 19s; small lambs. 8s 7d, 9s 6d to 13s 6d. Cattle: Forward Cows £7, £8 17s 6d to £9 12b ; store Cows £8 10s. £4 ss, £5 7s 6d, to £6 10s; yearling steers £2 19s, £3, to £3 12s 6d; yearling heifers £3 5s to £3 12s 6d; springing heifers £8 10s to £9 10s, £ll 10s, £l2 to £l2 10s; springing cows ; £lO, £ll, to £l2. Messrs, Levin and Co. report:—At our Fielding sale on June 13 bidding was brisk on sheep from the start. Ewes in lamb were in better demand, while lambs sold exceptionally well. Cattle sold at Tate rates. We quote the following prices: —2-tooth to 4-year ewee, r.w. S.D. rams, 235; empty ewes 14s lOd; mixed lambs 12s 7r, 22s Id; ewes. r.w.
