“GO ON—BE A SPORT.”
(By H. J. Englefield.)
I’m only a New Zealand kiddie, I’m only an orphan lad— ■' Who's lather’s made the sacrifice. When the world with war went mad. Ho was doing well in business— But he heard “Old England” call, So ho joined the famous Anzacs, At Caliipoli to fall I’m only one of the thousands, I’m only an orphan boy, Who’s future in life depends on you. Shall that life bo full of joy Come—be a. sport, old fellow, Of the old block' bo'a chip— And help tho fatherless kiddies To a Trontham Scholarship. Then some day in the future. When we’ve all to manhood grown, When the liberty they fought for Is seated on her thrown, Up there beyond tho starry skies, With their comrades side -by side, They’ll know you’ve not forgotten, “The men who fought and died.”
