A SERIES OF RESOLUTIONS. Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., June 16. The Manawatu Flaxworkers’ Union has passed a scries of resolutions: (1) That the repeal of the war regulations that interfere with the freedom of industrial organisations and members thereof, ho demanded; (2) we demand the release of all persons suffering imprisonment under the war regulations; (3) wo demand the immediate . release of all conscientious objectors wlio art? imprisoned for refusing to perform military service; (4) that if the Tokaanu Road (Waimarino district) is urgently needed for tourists that prisoners be better fed to withstand tire intense cold, and that a. store or other heating appliance be placed in each but to keep the place and bedding dryin tile wjhter months, otherwise to close the camp and remove the men. A strongly worded resolution was also passed in reference to the death of W. L. White, a conscientious objector, who died in Auckland prison, also regarding the treatment ho is alleged to have received.
