Mr. Bates’ forecast for the 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day is as follows: The indications are for northerly winds strong to gale an dbacking by north to west. The weather will probably prove very boisterous, Bain probable; barometer falling; seas rough; tides good. Sea increasing on the coast.
